FEED (Your Community) Program™

Planetary Harvest launches its FEED (Your Community) Program™

The FEED (Your Community) Program is a community discovery, planning, and implementation framework built around a dynamic community scorecard that helps communities explore how local food production can support broader goals related to Food Security, Education, Employment, and Development.

Rather than beginning with a pre-selected technology or infrastructure solution, FEED places the community at the centre of the process. It encourages local leaders, Indigenous organizations, educators, businesses, and residents to identify their priorities and determine whether local food production can contribute to achieving their long-term vision. The dynamic community scorecard provides a structured, repeatable methodology for evaluating opportunities, building partnerships, reducing project risk, and creating lasting community benefits.

The FEED (Your Community) Program is a facilitated process that guides communities through three stages consisting of Community Discovery, a Community Readiness Review, and a Community Implementation Plan.

These stages help communities move from ideas to informed decisions and ultimately to successful project implementation. Designed to support sustainable community development, the FEED Program integrates social, economic, educational, operational, and governance considerations into a practical roadmap that helps communities build local capacity, strengthen resilience, and maximize the long-term benefits of local food production.
