Planetary Harvest and Limestone City Co-Operative Housing Corporation Inc. of Kingston Ontario Embark on a Canadian First for Attainable Housing


Planetary Harvest is teaming up with the Limestone City Co-Operative Housing (LCCH) not-for-profit organization to develop an environmentally and socially sustainable co-operative housing and food security project in Kingston Ontario.
The CO-OP housing proposal features a Planetary Harvest designed state-of-the-art building incorporating a full-scale vertical farm for residents to live, work, and grow providing employment and quality of life options while satisfy local fresh food demands in the community.
In addition, the building and vertical farm heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) are designed to synergistically work together to improve indoor air quality, reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas production. This is a Canadian first, and an example of Climate Leadership emboddied by the LCCH organization.
Corporate, private and government partnerships are building momentum to advance this not-for-profit, attainable housing and climate leadership, initiative to the next phase.
